  • Double Race Error on Ai Assistant screen
Right, I forgot that. Anyway, it does allow moving forward.
  • Double Race Error on Ai Assistant screen
I wonder if the underlying data has a missing end-of-line marker or some other anomaly.
  • Double Race Error on Ai Assistant screen
I have seen something similar (maybe identical) and I solved it by opening the race following the one you are having the problem with, then closing it and then re-opening the problem race.

    @Dio
Wow! That's a lot of frustration. This 'game' that we all play can certainly do that. Some of what you say is true but not completely. Also, some is not true but again not completely.
Observing the tote board is impossible, even to the well connected. You will never know the true odds of the horse(s) you wager on until after the start so there really is no reason to check the tote.
I say, go ahead and bet your overlay. If you can psychologically accept the outcome that 75% of the time you will lose that wager then good on you. I know that I can't and Dave has said that he can't either.
Cashing tickets more often has a less negative effect on the bankroll and thus a more positive effect on your psyche and a boost to what Dick Schmidt called the 'velocity of money'. Keeping those fluctuations to a minimum is something that I've learned that I need.
I'm not sure what you refer to when you say 'perception'. I'm seeing something incrementally better than anything I've seen before and I've seen a lot.
  • Is the 88 really that good?
How are you recreating the '88 thing'? As you can imagine there's lots of proprietary stuff in Det that would be nearly impossible to recreate on your own. And the 88% is just the tip of the iceberg.
So, first, I recommend that you prove to yourself that your group of '88%' horses actually have at least an 88% chance of including the winner. After that, figure out how to winnow that down to the number of horses you want to bet.
  • Jimmy P Recovering From Surgery
Jimmy, hope you're breathing easier soon.

Glad everything went well and I look forward to you posting more good results.

    Cheers
  • Results from data mining AI handicap data
    I'm interested too. .
I've been scattershot with this new tool so far and need to see a path to give me some structure. Thanks for starting this.
  • HDW numbers soon??
    That was hilarious. Thanks Brian.
  • deTERMINATOR v2.0 - The AI ASSISTANT
This bettor says 'You better get better!'

    Take care and keep hydrated.
  • 86-1 or the 50-1 on The Determinator
The FG race was pretty impossible but not the AQU race. The Big Brian objects rated the horse a 1-7. If you had boxed the five 1s you get the exacta and tri. 1s are always dangerous.
  • Chick Fil-A or McDonalds
    An udderly hilarious featherweight match.
  • It's Vegas, baby!!
That's pretty normal in that environment. Kudos to you for realizing it and I bet you're formulating a new process to deal with it. All the best tomorrow.
  • It's Vegas, baby!!
Be skillful! All the best to Ram as well.
  • A Worthwhile Post From 2006.
Rook was (maybe still is) a very anal superfecta bettor.
The whole thread Dave links to is worth a read. I remember him from the HSH board.
  • Report update AP+PS+LR
I bet you still see popups too!

  • It’s 5:30 am…
First of all, my deepest most heartfelt condolences. I can't imagine what that must feel like.

You two are in my prayers. Fight on.
  • Say a Prayer for Ron Tiller- May he rest in peace
This is unbelievably sad news. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. I didn't know him personally but I can see and feel the effect he has had on all of us. He will be sorely missed.
  • How to bet "The Neal"
Also, the #1, Queen Daymar, is rank 1, magnitude 1, yet is a grade A+ ? That made no sense. I did not have her as a contender. I use the 0Whales report plus 'Ira's object' (posted elsewhere in this forum) and select Reynolds2 horses that have a value of 1 or 2 as contenders.
I realize that the post was not about this particular horse but I just wanted to be thorough.
  • How to bet "The Neal"
This is an interesting race for a couple of reasons.
It shows the value of looking for a BALO and what to do if the high percentage horse(s) is not a BALO. I require a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 contenders. In this race I was only able to find 3. I used the collective speed/collective power lists (click the 'Deep' button to see them) and the 4 horse, Streaking Grey, fit the bill as a 4th contender. The high percentage horse wins at 3/5 and the 4 is second at 20-1and the exactor pays $34.
I'm coming around to the BALO concept. If a top pct horse is a BALO I may still take it on top over my other contenders if it's real odds make it betable. Mostly, though, I make them place horses only.
In this race, I took the legit nonBALO high pct horse, #2, with 3 others at $2 each and then reverse them over the high pct horse at $1.
    Aug 18, 2024 2:19 PM Bet Gulfstream, Race 4, $1.00 EXA 4,5,8 / 2 $3.00
    Aug 18, 2024 2:19 PM Bet Gulfstream, Race 4, $2.00 EXA 2 / 4,5,8 $34.10 $6.00

The lowest paying exactor, 2 over 8, was paying $10 so I went with it. I'll get better at betting eventually.
