  • Potential price for vertical plays
Broke well today, but over-matched. Fifth.

I'll play devil's advocate. I love the uncoupled angle. Jock on the #10 is the goto jock and has a high ITM %. I think he was entered a week ago, so that might explain the lack of a recent work. Should be forwardly placed, stamina might improve after the poor start last out. Should hit the board.

BRIS does now have a preliminary Multicaps file for ELP for Saturday.

I'm 72 this month, I no longer need to suffer AHs. — Tom

The best thing about age is that it brings new perspectives.
  • CD ends meet today. Moving racinf to ELP
I read where they changed the dates of some races, so maybe that has something to do with the files not being available yet.
  • CD ends meet today. Moving racinf to ELP
BRIS had a CD preliminary Multicaps file up at the time I listed, but now they don't have CD or ELP

So, depending on the data source, if you get data showing CD, you may be able to pull the data again later and get ELP.

Jeff P says that Equibase says they will use ELP.

Just FYI, BRIS preliminary files do not list Program Numbers or Morning Lines.

As of 7:15 p Central on 6/4, the preliminary BRIS Multicaps file for 6/7 uses the track code CD; the file was created on 6/3 at 3:49 pm. That was after the 6/2 CBS article on the venue change. Still, I don't consider that to be an absolute indicator of the track code to be used.
  • Candidates for Strangest Race Conditions
I am not aware of them having a harness meet. But, I know next to zero about harness racing.

He indicates it was Horseshoe Indianapolis. Neither harness nor southern.

Sometimes there is only one likely winner on the grounds for these odd conditions.
  • Kentucky Derby & Oaks
Two horses were reported to have a fever, Skinner and Practical Move. Joseph's horse, Lord Miles, was scratched after Joseph was suspended related to having two horses die on the track. Forte was reported to have a foot issue. Not sure about Continuar.
  • Kentucky Derby & Oaks
    Forte is scratched.
  • Kentucky Derby & Oaks
Skinner is out in the Derby, so the field is down to 19 now. All of the AE's are in.
  • What about the Whales?
    ↪Tony Kofalt

I am still trying to fully wrap my head around these issues. Compared to other races, I tend to downgrade speed and upgrade class, form and connections. But there's a lot to consider.

None moved more than one level, so it could have been much worse. I've seen horses that changed from E to S or S to E.
  • Kentucky Derby & Oaks
Here are the horses which I have changed the running style:

    Two Phil's P to E/P
    Tapit Trice P to P/S
    Kingsbarns E/P to P
    Skinner S to P/S
Angel of Empire S to P/S
    Raise Cain P to E/P
    Rocket Can E/P to P
    Lord Miles P to P/S
