Unusual opportunity at Aqu today as there is a P5 carryover north of $250,000. Let's take a look at the races to see if we can identify a way to exploit this opportunity.
Race 1- one turn mile for bottom level 3yo's. We'll avoid probable second choice in Stormandy, who may be the early leader.
A's 2,6
B's 1
Race 2- one could build a case for several in this open $20k route. We'll pass on 2nd and 3rd M/L choices and focus recent class leaders.
A's 3,5
B's 7
Race 3- another tough puzzle to tackle. Once again, the best approach may be to avoid 2nd, 3rd and 4th M/L choices.
A's 3,5
B's 6
Race 4- I get a little anxious when 2 of my 3 contenders prefer to come from far behind. But I'm going to stick with my selections as the track played fairly last weekend.
A's 1,2
B's 7
Race 5- I do have a strong preference here in Fabulously Funny. Primary rival may be Ky invader and first time starter Swanson Lake. Going to single the 7.
A's 7
Building a ticket: Plan to single race 5 and require 2 A type winners from the first four legs.
2,6/ 3.5/ 3,5,6/ 1,2,7/ 7
2,6/ 3,5,7/ 3,5/ 1,2,7/ 7
2,6/ 3,5,7/ 3,5,6/ 1,2/ 7
1,2,6/ 3,5/ 3,5/ 1,2,7/ 7
1,2,6/ 3,5, 3,5,6/ 1,2/ 7
1,2,6/ 3,5,7/ 3,5/ 1,2/ 7
I’m out after the first leg as I played against the big favorite as I had too many potential short prices in the back end…here’s my stab:
R1) A’s = 3,5,6
R2) A’s = 1,2,3,5,6 / B’s = 4,7
R3) A’s = 3,5,7
R4) A’s = 1,2,6 / B’s = 7
R5) A’s = 4 / B’s = 7,8
Thanks Jack! Only 4 of 5. What I was hoping to illustrate was how to get the most out of your money through ticket structure. I posted 6 tickets, all of which included an all A's combination. IF the bet was successful with all A's winning (we had 4 A's win) we would have hit the P5 6 times. This type of structure provides opportunities for bigger scores.
